Week in Review:
The last couple of weeks have been busy and I’m just now catching up on my website posts. It seems every night there is an event, often more than one.
Wednesday, November 14th was the Dane County Democrats’ election meeting. I was impressed that the elections concluded with both candidates for Chair taking the high road and working to unite the party. Another highlight from the meeting is that my neighbor and friend Connie Smalley was elected to the Executive Board to represent our Assembly District. Connie is a tenacious advocate who is passionate about Democratic issues. I look forward to continuing to work with her.
Another highlight from the past week was attending the Wisconsin Wetland Association’s Annual Meeting. Executive Director Becky Abel presented a great annual review, followed by exceptional entertainment by a trio of members. Author Laurie Lawlor and poet Mary Linton read selections from their work and singer-songwriter Erin O’Brien performed wetland-themed songs.
