Thank you to those who stopped in for my half-birthday celebration! It was fun to spend time catching up with friends!
Dear Friends,
Week in Brief:
This past week’s activities included two neighborhood association meetings, a Rhythm and Booms planning update meeting, the Wisconsin River Sportsmen Association annual dinner, and a concert. Of course, the grassroots door-to-door effort continues rain or shine.
The Details:
The birthday open house at Benvuto’s was fun for all who attended. We had cake from Pierce’s Northside Market, good conversation and cheer.
I was fortunate to be able to attend a couple of neighborhood organization meetings this past week. I’ve been impressed with the strength and efforts of our area’s neighborhood organizations. They are great assets to our community.
I attended an update meeting on Rhythm and Booms with Northside Alders, Satya Rhodes-Conway (District 12) and Michael Schumacher (District 18). There was a good discussion about safety issues, economic impact, and long term planning. Coordinating Sponsor Terry Kelly with the Northside help has done an amazing job in pulling together this spectacular patriotic celebration.
Conservation and environmental issues are important to our area. I was privileged to attend the annual dinner of the Wisconsin River Sportsmen Association. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts that attended.
As I continue to campaign, join me if you like - for doors or at events like these:
May 18th – Northside Supporters Jeanette Paulson, Dayna Dalton, and Gayle Ihlenfeld are planning an event for our campaign the afternoon of May 18th. Very kid friendly event!
June 8th – Conservation leaders and outdoor enthusiasts from the 81st Assembly District and across Wisconsin will be hosting a fundraising event for me at Rex’s Innkeeper in Waunakee.
Justin
